Hello, and thank you for viewing my e-portfolio. My name is Topher Mowry, and I am pursuing my MLIS from the University of South Florida. I originally graduated from USF with a bachelor’s in History. I was then afforded the opportunity to work at USF’s Sarasota campus in the Information Commons and Library Services area. This sparked a passion for working in library services. Working in the Information Commons gave me the opportunity to see the near limitless potential of digital librarianship. In addition, I have spent a large portion of my life working with collectables, such as comic books and video games. In doing so, I have also developed a passion for working with the diverse youth culture surrounding these hobbies. In pursuit of my MLIS, I have sought to explore these two areas and the opportunities for librarianship. Upon graduation, my goal is to pursue a career in digital preservation of video games and other digital media.
